Wilton, CT, September 27, 2011 – Westport Capital Partners LLC, a real estate investment firm specializing in the distressed and opportunistic real estate arena, announced today that Marian V. George has joined the firm as Assistant Vice President, Legal, effective September 26, 2011. Ms. George’s responsibilities include working on the legal aspects of the due diligence, acquisition, management, financing and disposition of Westport’s property and debt investments. She is based in the firm’s Wilton, CT office.

Ms. George was most recently an associate at the law firm of Goodwin Procter, LLP for over four and a half years, where she represented domestic and foreign investors, fund sponsors, institutional investment advisors and investment banks in a variety of real estate transactions. Prior to Goodwin Procter, Ms. George was an associate at the law firm of Herrick Feinstein, LLP for two years. Ms. George holds a B.A. in Sociology magna cum laude from Bowdoin College and a J.D. cum laude from Brooklyn Law School.
